Ammar Amonette is a Muslim theologian and a graduate of the Imam
Institute of Makkah. He is the Imam of the Colorado Muslim Society -the
largest Mosque of the Rocky Mountain Region. Amonette received a
scholarship to Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He
accepted the scholarship, since there are no fully accredited graduate
schools or seminaries dedicated to Islamic teaching in the U.S. Amonette
attended three schools over 12 years in Saudi Arabia and received his
Masters at the Graduate Institute for Preparation of Imams in Mecca. He
